Meet the Truth Receivers

Who are Yoorrook's truth receivers?

Yoorrook's Truth Receivers assist First Peoples community members to share their truths with the Commission.

This could include helping you to write or record your truth telling submission. It could also include sitting down and talking over a cup of tea, or on the phone with you to discuss how you would like to participate in Yoorrook’s truth telling processes and whether you might like social and emotional wellbeing support or legal assistance to do so.

Truth Receivers also share information about what Yoorrook is doing, and how First Peoples can participate with community groups. And they help coordinate and organise engagement opportunities across the state such as yarning circles and community roundtables.

All Yoorrook’s Truth Receivers are trusted community members who are embedded within the community and respected across various networks.
