Commissioners heard from Peta McCammon, Secretary of the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and Dannii de Kretser, Deputy CEO of Homes Victoria. Later in the afternoon Commissioners heard from Commissioner Meena Singh and Commissioner Liana Buchanan from the Commission for Children and Young People and Elias Jarvis, CCYP Youth Council.

In the morning Commissioners heard from Jenny Atta, Secretary of the Department of Education and Stephen Fraser, Deputy Secretary, School Education Programs and Support, followed by Alinta Williams from the Victorian branch of the Australian Education Union. In the afternoon commissioners heard from the Vice Chancellors and Pro Vice Chancellors of Melbourne, Monash and Deakin universities.

Commissioners heard from Lionel Bamblett, Mark Rose and Aunty Geraldine Atkinson representing the Victorian Aboriginal Association Inc. In the afternoon they also heard from Jarvis Atkinson and later Dr. Lois Peeler from Worawa Aboriginal College.
