The Yoorrook Justice Commission welcomes today’s announcement of an agreed Treaty Negotiation Framework by the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria and the State Government.

Yoorrook Chair, Prof. Eleanor Bourke AM, who was previously Chairperson of the Working Group to the Victorian Treaty Advancement Commission, congratulates the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria on reaching this historic milestone.

Justice and Treaty are fundamentally connected. Yoorrook’s truth-telling work is supporting the Treaty process. Truth-telling and Treaty are critical opportunities for all Victorians to come together, acknowledge and address injustice and create a better future together.
