Submission – The University of Melbourne – Dhoombak Goobgoowana: A History of Indigenous Australia and the University of Melbourne

The University of Melbourne was founded in 1853.

This submission comprises, Dhoombak Goobgoowana: A History of the Indigenous Australia and the University of Melbourne Volume 1: Truth, which was produced as part of the University’s truth and justice project. This submission aims to demonstrate the University’s willingness to address the historical and ongoing injustices it committed against Indigenous peoples, to contribute to initiatives to redress them and to uphold the rights of Indigenous peoples as articulated in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
