Yoorrook’s Walk for Truth Launch
Sunday 25 May, 9am
Portland Town Jetty
Join the kick-off for the first day of the Walk for Truth and hear from Proud Kerrupmara Gunditjmara man Commissioner Travis Lovett about the inspiration and aspiration for the 25-day journey ahead. This day marks the beginning the 370km Walk for Truth at the site where Victoria was first colonised 190 years ago.

Morning Tea at Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre
Monday 26 May, 9am
Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre, Breakwater Creek
Join for morning tea and hear from a Gunditjmara cultural guide about Tae Rak (Lake Condah) and the surrounding wetlands. The World Heritage listed site, and lake is made up of 1,700 hectares of significant wetlands and stony rises right next to the historic lava flows of Budj Bim National Park.

Warrnambool Community Event

Join for an afternoon of talks, music and cultural activities to learn about Yoorrook Justice Commission truth telling work, and the history and culture of the traditional owners of the land.

Join us for at a special event including pre-show event for the COPACC Reconciliation Week event; before a powerful performance of ‘Of The Land on Which We Meet’ by the Na Djinang Circus, followed by post-show Q+A with Commissioner Lovett and the performers.
