Walk for Truth
Frequently asked questions

Unfortunately we are not able to provide transport back to the beginning of walks. Please check the details carefully and if the walk is not a return walk you will need to arrange to get back to your car, either by undertaking the return walk or arranging transport.

You should cater for yourself accordingly with food and water. Each walking day is listed with an approximate time and distance. Food and water are not provided for the walk and each walker needs to be self supported.

Please check the weather and conditions and dress appropriately including in footwear that is appropriate for walking. This is an all weather event and the walk will proceed. If there is a possibility of rain we suggested ensuring you have a water proof layer.

Please check the difficulty and length of the walk and ensure it is suitable. Children can attend as long as they are supervised by an adult.

No we are not able to provide this, it is a self supported event and you will be required to bring and carry your own food and water.

Yes, we recommend all participants register in advance for planning and safety purposes. You will be required to register on the day.

No you can do a part of the walk and just need to ensure you arrange your own transport or have a route marked out to return.

Most walks are on paths or roads, but some sections involve uneven ground, coastal tracks, or moderate inclines. Unfortunately, this means that public walking tracks will not be accessible to all.

Pets are generally discouraged due to the cultural and ceremonial nature of the event, as well as potential restrictions on some reserves and public spaces.

The walk will proceed in most weather conditions, but major weather warnings may lead to adjustments or cancellations. Check our website, social media and your registration email for updates.

More detailed information, including start times and registration details, will be shared closer to the date. Registration time is included in the overall walk duration.
