Summary
This submission has been made on behalf of the descendants of George Winter McDonald, a Gunditjmara man and son of Alfred ‘Boppo’ McDonald and Annie Rich.
The submission tells the story of the McDonald family and highlights the systemic injustices, inhumane treatment, and theft and dispossession of Country that occurred from the settlement of the Colony of Port Phillip in 1834, and continued throughout the development of the State of Victoria. The submission tells the stories of key people in each generation, from Apical Ancestor, Susannah, to her sixth generation descendants.
