Krystal Williams is Palawa and transgender. This submission describes Krystal’s life, from being a child under the care of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to being in the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre. The submission recounts Krystal’s experiences of abuse in the Victorian prison system, and connection to Aboriginal culture, community and ancestry.
